CODE OF CONDUCT

Standards of mutual respect, physical safety, academic integrity, and respectful photography at Physics Wallah, NSP Delhi.

Sprint & Spawn is committed to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and inspiring space for every under-18 creator, mentor, judge, and volunteer. We celebrate diversity of thought, background, skill level, and identity. Harassment and intolerance have zero place in our hackathon.

SECTION 01

1. Respect & Inclusive Community

Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and professional respect.

Treat all fellow participants, organizers, mentors, judges, and volunteers with courtesy and respect.
Sprint & Spawn is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive experience for all young builders regardless of gender, background, disability, appearance, or skill level.
Help create an encouraging environment where every participant feels safe to experiment and learn.
SECTION 02

2. Anti-Harassment & Non-Discrimination

Zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or offensive behavior.

Harassment, offensive verbal comments, bullying, stalking, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated in any form.
Inappropriate language or imagery is strictly prohibited in project content, presentations, code repositories, and venue spaces.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
SECTION 03

3. Venue Guidelines (Physics Wallah NSP)

Respect venue property, campus premises, and safety guidelines.

Comply with all rules and regulations of Physics Wallah, Netaji Subhash Place (NSP), Delhi.
Use computers, electrical power outlets, Wi-Fi networks, and event facilities responsibly.
Avoid causing any deliberate or careless damage to venue or event property.
Remain in designated event areas and follow safety instructions given by authorized staff.
SECTION 04

4. Academic & Technical Integrity

Submit original work built during the sprint.

All projects submitted must represent the team's genuine effort created during the 12-hour sprint window.
Permitted resources: Open-source libraries, frameworks, APIs, public development tools, and AI-assisted tools (e.g. LLMs/Copilots).
Teams must understand and be able to explain their codebase and implementation to judges.
Plagiarism, submitting pre-existing completed proprietary projects, or claiming others' work will result in immediate disqualification.
SECTION 05

5. Photography & Media Policy

Guidelines on event photographs, video recording, and media permissions.

Official Event Photography: The official media team may capture photographs, audio, and video recordings throughout Sprint & Spawn for official records, certificates, and promotional purposes.
Participant Photography: Participants and attendees are welcome to take personal photos/videos of their team and the event, provided it is done respectfully and does not disrupt other sprinters or capture sensitive personal data without permission.
Respect Privacy: If any participant requests not to be photographed individually, their preference must be honored immediately.
Commercial recording or unauthorized live broadcasting of other participants without consent is prohibited.
SECTION 06

6. Safety, Health & Supervision

Safety standards for under-18 participants.

Because Sprint & Spawn involves under-18 participants, authorized adult and school supervision is maintained throughout the day.
Emergency contact information and first aid are maintained at the on-ground help desk.
Report any safety concern, injury, technical hazard, or suspicious incident immediately to the organizing team.
SECTION 07

7. Violations & Disqualification

Consequences of serious rule violations.

Violations of this Code of Conduct, including plagiarism, cheating, property damage, harassment, or deliberate rule breaches, may result in disqualification and immediate removal from the venue.
The decision of the organizing team and venue authorities is final in all disciplinary matters.
MEDIA & PRIVACY NOTICE

Photography & Recording Policy

• Official Media Team: The Sprint & Spawn media team will capture photographs, drone b-roll, and video footage throughout the 12-hour sprint for archival records, recap videos, and promotional materials.

• Participant Photography: Participants are welcome and encouraged to take photos and video snippets of their project builds, team moments, and ceremony highlights. However, if anyone requests not to be photographed, their privacy must be respected immediately.

• No Inappropriate Capture: Any non-consensual, deceptive, or intrusive photography/recording is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate disqualification and removal.
